On Friday, March 5, 2010, at 7 pm at The Sanctuary in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. David K. Bernard was installed as the seventh general superintendent of the UPCI. The ceremony was blessed with a deep presence of the Holy Spirit from the moment it began until the closing prayer. While there was a certain solemnity, the service was by no means somber but moreover a joyous ambiance prevailed with moments of levity.

God-called intercessors are recognized by various characteristics they manifest over time. As we mentioned earlier, they are known because of their self-initiative. Earthquakes, tsunamis', government coups, sickness, incurable diseases - it seems like this all we hear about in the news. Sometimes it makes praying easier because there is a lot to pray for. "Jesus, I am so proud of you" were the words that slipped from lips last week. All spiritual activities that manifest later in a physical way were first conceived in the womb of prayer and prayer rooms perhaps should be called prayer wombs.

Ever get bored with announcements made in church gatherings? Why not anoint them with prayer? State the announcement then have corporate prayer for the event. Example: "Vacation Bible School will begin in June." Pray for God's blessing on the activity. Pray that the hearts of the children will be ripe to hear about God.
